You may find it easier to transcribe the text if you plug your VCR's sound
output into your computer's sound card and digitize the audio as a .WAV
file. I have used this approach to transcribe video tapes in the past.
Playing back the .WAV file on the PC gives you precise control when you need
to start and stop the audio.
