Dear Colleague,
ISO/IEC 18019 - Guidelines for the design and preparation of software user
documentation, is being drafted by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 7/WG 2 - System software
documentation. Members of the editing committee (Daniel Dresner of the
National Computing Centre (http://www.ncc.co.uk), Jeff Hillmore, who was
closely involved with the original British Standards, and Richard Hodgkinson
of IBM UK http://www.hursley.ibm.com) would welcome comments (by 10 March
2000) from technical authors/list members on the draft for this new
standard. The first Committee Draft (CD) can be downloaded from http://www.ncc.co.uk/standards/standardsprojects.html#is (which also
contains more details of the review).
