Joyce Fetterman asked:
"What's the one reference book (not including the dictionary or thesaurus)
that you would never give up?..."
and Kelly Parr answered:
"No question: Brusaw, Charles T., Gerald J. Alred, and Walter E. Oliu.
Handbook of Technical Writers, Fifth Ed. St. Martin's Press, 1997..."

Just FYI: the title is "Handbook of Technical Writing" and it is now in its
6th edition (published January 2000) and at amazon it is listed as a book of
Gerald J. Alred (no longer Charles T. Brusaw as main author). But I don't
know what are the differences compared to the fifth edition.
Perhaps somebody can enlighten me if it is worth buying it. I am a German
Technical Writer who has to write a lot for an US and (English speaking)
Canadian audience.

Greetings from Germany
Andreas Ternes
