I believe the items that the uninstall
program cannot remove vary from
program to program. Sometimes they
are programms (such as .dll files)
that the registry thinks may be used
by other programs. Other times
the files seem to be program output --
for instance, if you uninstall
Microsoft Word you might not want the
uninstall utility to delete any Word
documents -- you probably just want
it to delete the Word program.
Usually the items that you must
remove manually are in the folder
where the program was installed.
For instance, suppose program X
is installed in
C:\Windows\Program Files\X.
After you run the uninstall program
use Windows explorer to find folder
X and manually delete its contents.
