There is at least a third alternative to national STC and TechComm -- the
regional STC conferences. This year, Region 7 and Region 8 are combining in
Hawaii in October. Check out http://www.pan-pacific.org for more info; a
preliminary program will be available soon. Good workshops, too.
Sometimes it's good to try different angles. I've enjoyed Seybold quite a
bit; Documation is interesting for writers; and for sheer tonnage, there's
always Comdex.
