I'll second that. I've always preferred proximity to work or school (I was
in heaven when I lived a five-minute walk from work), but now it takes me an
hour to get to work (walk and/or bus, metro, walk and/or bus). I haven't
had to commute like that in about 10 years, and I don't really mind at all.
I *like* coming into work, unlike my previous office job -- which was only
15 minutes away.
