If memory serves, you can sometimes solve this sort of problem by
right-clicking on the page number (such that the grey "code area"
shading appears--shouldn't matter which page), then selecting "update
field" from the pop-up menu.
This won't permanently solve the problem, but it usually will re-adjust
the numbers to accurately reflect the current state of the document (and
allow you to print it out with the right numbering).
