TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
FWIW, I like the poll questions, not because it gives
me another avenue for expressing myself. No one would
accuse me of holding things in. <g> I like the polls
for reading the results and seeing where the responses
fall out. It's nice to know how other techwr-lers
handle portfolios, for example, or that most
respondents get their jobs through networking, or that
most people are using one of two packages for
developing their documentation.
It may not be scientific, but I find useful
information in the results.
