Getting a work permit in the US is not easy as well. You either have a
sponsor who would help you, or you win the "green card lottery", where a
certain number of "Green Cards" will be given away to anyone applying in
the lottery. The number of cards available is contingented by country.

What about going to the States!? I live and work as a Technical Writer in
France. How do you get to the US to work if you aren't a citizen or married
to one? Any tips???
