Subject:Locked outline level in Word template From:kimber_miller -at- acs-inc -dot- com To:<TECHWR-L -at- LISTS -dot- RAYCOMM -dot- COM> Date:Thu, 11 May 2000 13:34:40 -0500
Hi! I'm hoping one of y'all can help me solve this mystery:
I've inherited a template that uses all the standard styles this company has
come to use. I want to make a new template based on the old one. The new
template will be for requirements documents that must have outline paragraph
numbering.
But the Outline Level option is unavailable for almost all the styles (except
for the bulleted lists--go figure). It's grayed out, and I can't get to it. If I
base my new style on an old one, even Normal, I cannot choose which Outline
level I want.
I could start over with a new document template, but would like to know why this
option appears to be locked in this one. And where does that locking occur? I
can't find it anywhere.
I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions.
