Has anyone been watching Jeopardy this week? They've had a champion who's a
technical writer (I missed the end of the show last night, so I don't know
if he won again). I think his name is Steven Silver.
During the interview portion, Alex Trebek asked him what a tech writer
does. When Steven described his work, he received the usual kind of
response about not understanding computers at all. I was delighted to see
Steven explain that we write so that people CAN understand.
So nice to see our profession in the spotlight, so to speak. Good going,
Steven!
