Subject:Outline Numbered Lists in Word, FrameMaker From:"Shorr, Henry (JUS)" <hshorr -at- jus -dot- gov -dot- mb -dot- ca> To:"Techwr-L (E-mail)" <TECHWR-L -at- LISTS -dot- RAYCOMM -dot- COM> Date:Tue, 20 Jun 2000 09:23:53 -0500
I'm having a lot of trouble with outline numbered lists in long documents
(200 pages) in Word 97.
If there are several consecutive lists, they combine to become one long
(i.e. 1 to 100) instead of ten lists of 1 to 10 (which is what I want).
I've tried to used styles consistently, but while the first few lists work,
after a while they stop working. If I get a latter list to start at 1, the
previous ones combine their numbering.
I appreciate any comments on the following:
-Is there a remedy for this in Word 97? If so, what is it?
*
-Is this problem fixed in Word 2000?
*
-Is this a problem in FrameMaker 6.0 (I do a lot of numbered lists, and so
I'm starting to wonder about alternate software)?
Thanks,
Henry Shorr
