We adopted a policy of using only the following
fonts in documents or help files that are sent
outside the department:
Arial
Courier New
Symbol
Times New Roman
Wingdings
These are installed with Windows 95, 98, and NT. (I
hope with 2000 too, but I don't know for sure.) So
if your reader has any of those systems installed
there's a good chance that those fonts will be
present.
