My "portfolio" (which is painfully out-of-date) is in a one of those
leather-look three-ring binders that holds 8/5x11 pages and zips shut. I
slipped my writing samples, example brochures, color laser printouts of some
home pages from web sites I've designed, a copy of my transcript, and a copy
of my resume' into plastic protective sheets. There is a pocket inside the
binder where I keep extra copies of my resume', which came in handy because
I ended up being interviewed by nine people when I interviewed for my
current position.

At the time, I also had a "personal" web site with an online resume', links
to web sites I had done, and online writing samples (basically the same
stuff I had printed hard copies of for my portfolio). I included the URL on
my resume'.
