Too right, Sharon.
I can date the decline and fall of my career at one company from the day I
didn't stand up to the president about the client sending me some screen
changes hours before a draft -- a DRAFT, mind you -- of a manual was to ship
to said client. Enormous changes at the last minute on your part should not
justify a no-sleep-'til-it's-done emergency on my part. I've learned that
sometimes you have to say No.

When a reviewer brings us a major change at the last minute, or after the
scheduled deadline for these changes, we say:
"Wow. How unfortunate these changes didn't get to us in a timely manner (or
the time specified or something like that). Perhaps we can get to them in
the next release or put them in the release notes. Thank you for your
efforts, however. These are sure extensive."
