I produce a weekly newsletter for my Rotary Club and then put it out to
most of our members as a PDF and email it to them. I use distiller 4, but
have checked off that I want it compatible with reader 3. Checking that
you want the PDF to be compatible for 3 may make it readable with reader
3. I am not sure because, as I was getting complaints, I told the members
to go to Adobe and download reader 4. I even ran a story a couple of
times taking our members through the process. This worked because we also
hand out hard copys of the newsletter at the meetings. Therefore, we
could have them pick up the copy and follow the directions.
If you are worried about your clients not having reader 4, why not have
it available on your site for download. That way your clients would not
have to go to the Adobe site, where they definitely push the distiller
and kind of hide the reader.
Happiness, joy & laughter
