TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
In my opinion, the ideal is to have two versions of the files: one in which
the graphics are full-size or near-full size, for screen viewing (Help files
& PDF's). Large screen shots, printed at full size, take up too much space
and don't look very professional; therefore, I like to have also have a
Print version in which the larger graphics are scaled to 50% or 60% of full
size. This is the only way that I have found to get reasonable graphics
quality on-screen and in print.
Hope that helps,
Walt
