Thanks for your feedback folks. Mainly I got that it's fairly standard to attach
some sort of guidelines to send to people who are reviewing documentation.

I don't have a problem with people giving editing feedback, but it is somewhat
irritating especially when time is short. I am a copy editor, however, and I
also look up anything I'm unsure about in style guides, so it's a bit much at
this late stage. However, I do realize that one set of eyes isn't enough, and
occasionally people catch something I didn't see, so my irritation doesn't get
in the way of my professionalism.

I should be glad someone read it, and I am, but it was a bit overwhelming at
this stage. I needed more of a big picture than what I got. And it's sometimes
hard that the only feedback is criticism, but oh well. I think there's a big
difference between a writer and a secretary, and I'm not sure some people here
really get that. Innocently, but there's no reason not to inform them via review
guidelines.

About respect and this forum - I'd find it more useful if we could all assume
each other has a clue, and start from there. Just a thought.

thanks again
Cayenne
