There's a lot of distance between listing activities where one gained skills
and experience and constant harping about the activities themselves. I sense
that you might be willing to make such assumptions about people who feel
differently than you do. How would you feel, however, if someone with a
background similar to yours started espousing extreme views about guns,
survivalism, and political positions?
Regardless of what you did to get where you are, keep all the personal stuff
away from the office. It's often hard to do, but we try to hire people who
do not have agendas of any sort. We try to hire people who will, despite
differences, be able to work together toward a common goal.
Spare me from zealots of ANY stripe!
