I'm another former instructor turned technical writer. I taught as an adjunct instructor at a local university. Pay for adjunct faculty being what it is, I turned to technical writing so I could support my family adequately. I still teach a class now and then (literature instead of composition?far more interesting to me), but I can do it because I like it, not because i need the income.

Now that I've started public and private training on applications, I get to interact with students in a class again. It's *almost* the best of both worlds (no summer breaks).
