How to require multiple clicks for an action on Web
Subject:How to require multiple clicks for an action on Web From:"David Berg" <dberg -at- dmpnet -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 27 Dec 2000 11:30:12 -0600
I've been puzzling over this one, and one or two folks have been kind enough
to offer opinions, but I'm hoping for more ideas.
With a Web page I'm putting together to train users, I'm looking for a way
to require a user to perform a specific sequence of clicks before an action
(or multiple actions) happen. I'm pretty sure I can accomplish this with
JavaScript, but frankly (considering that I'm a rank novice at JavaScript)
I'm hoping that there's some sort of software out there that can help me
out. I feel like other folks delving into instructional media must've faced
this issue before.
Specifically, I'll have a keypad segmented into an imagemap or something
similar, and I want the simulated display on the keypad to change only after
the user completes a specific sequence of clicks. There will be a number of
sequences for the user to learn on the keypad.
Any ideas?
