And . . .
. . . how many really care what the clock on the VCR says? I play videos. I
watch TV. I look at the big clock, on the wall, for the time. It would be
nice if the VCR auto-detected the time but, otherwise, who cares? My VCR (a
4-head jog/shuttle Sony model, circa 1990) has a menu feature that leads you
by the nose through such things as setting the clock--thus no manual
needed--and, if you care, scheduling taping of TV shows. I suspect people
with VCR clocks blinking 12:00 mostly don't care about the clock on the VCR,
rather than being actually incapable of setting the same.
So, is my clock blinking 12:00? I dunno. Don't care. Now, for a second at
most, I might actually pay attention to it, for a moment, when I go home.
