.chm setup: any way to have version appear on printout?
Subject:.chm setup: any way to have version appear on printout? From:"Cummings, Elizabeth" <CummEl -at- ncs -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 6 Feb 2001 14:57:37 -0600
I've created a .chm file of great size (a user's guide--some of you may
recall my post/desperate plea for help a month or so ago.), and am updating
and recompiling it on a daily basis.
Some users are printing some or all of the pages, and everyone's concerned
that, as a result, these users may refer to dated information versus the
latest and greatest available in the online .chm.
Therefore, I want any page printed from the .chm to show the .chm version
from which it was printed so that the user can then compare it to the
version noted on the online .chm (in the title bar).
As far as I can tell, the wording in the title bar will not appear anywhere
on a printout.
Any ideas on what I can do to allow users to tell what .chm version their
printout is from?
Thanks for your help!
Oh, and thank you for the deluge of sympathy and birthday messages, written
in reply to my telecommuting tale of a neighborhood fire. The sentiments
were so nice to read after such an ordeal! Those of you who wrote from
neighboring areas (North Liberty, Cedar Rapids, etc.), I will get back to
you soon--good to hear I have colleagues nearby!
