Subject:RE: Autonumbering Rows in Word Table From:"David R. Levitt" <dlevitt -at- erols -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 16 Feb 2001 10:29:09 -0500
Can you maintain the tables with row numbers in Excel and then paste them
into Word? Word will automatically accept an Excel table as a Word table.
Another option might be to play with the Word outline view. Outline
automatically keeps track of row numbers and you can change the outline
numbering format of the Row Numbers column to suit.
The question was:
... is there a simple way to automate numbering the rows in the [[Word]]
data table (Section 1.0; rows 1.01, 1.02, etc.; Section 2.0; rows 2.02,
2.02, etc.)? And is there a way to make it easy to renumber if inserting
new rows? (I presume that the only way to approach this is with something
like using LISTNUM in a style.)
