I'd perhaps be surprised if you find such a thing and hope if you find it
offline you post the details here. A collection of 20 recommended standards
for codes useful in international business can be found at http://www.unece.org/etrades/standarindex.htm (click "recommendations," then
"whole of all trade facilitation standards"). While there are 20
recommendations, there are none for standard company name or "ID number,"
but further investigation at the referenced site might turn up something.
