Dear Tech Whirlers:

I hope this isn't an improper use of the list, but I am--after MANY years of PR and editing in New England--hoping to find a different locale for my home base. In contention are the upper Midwest (Minn, Wisc, Mich) and the mid-Atlantic states (especially North Carolina). Does anyone know how the freelance (or full-time--I'm open to suggestions!!) rates compare with the Conn-Mass-Rhode Island rates? Does anyone know if the MN, WI, MI, NC markets are saturated? And finally (no, this isn't "20 Questions!"), is general editing or tech editing a better (read more lucrative) market? If others are interested, I'll post a summary to the list.

Please e-mail me privately at editor -at- neca -dot- com -dot-
Thanks!!

Sharyn
