Subject:FW: Nitpicky word question: matrix vs. table? From:"Steve Hudson" <steve -at- wright -dot- com -dot- au> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Fri, 2 Mar 2001 17:35:42 +1100
Hmmm, seeing as pedantry seems to be reaching an obfuscating level of
lexiphanic cacophony, I better add my pental cents worth.
A matrix and a table are slightly different. The key is that every element
of a matrix relates to every other. Generally speaking, a table cell relates
only to the terminating headers on the x and y planes, and not to each
other.
