Everything I've read about Quark is that it's impractical for long-document
publication, unless you spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on
plug-in upgrades.
So your real choices are FrameMaker and Ventura. Of the two, Ventura has
more features, a much, much better user interface, and a powerful user
support group (news:// cnews.corel.ca/ corel.graphic_apps.ventura8) [note
addition of spaces; we don't need spam-bots trawling the user group].
Of course, using Ventura requires that you go against the "de facto
standard." You'll have to be rational and interested in purchasing the
best software, rather than the safe software. For some people, that's just
not worth the risk...
[it boggles me that Corel products aren't the defacto standard. They're
certainly the most powerful, fully-featured and generally easier-to-use
software...]
