I use FM on Windows and have worked in environments where it was used on
Macs and UNIX as well. FM goes well from platform to platform, though you do
have to be aware of differences between the platforms (think fonts,
graphics, and file naming conventions). However, pick your flavor of UNIX
carefully and be aware that Adobe announced there would be no further
development of FrameMaker on Linux. The FrameMaker 5.5.6 licenses for Linux
have also *all* expired.
