So, here's my follow-up question for those of you who see taking minutes as a
source of personal/professional power -- how do you make it empowering? It has
to be something beyond our personal attitude because the people who currently
take minutes don't feel empowered and can't wait to get rid of the task. I
don't think the writers are being "empowered" by
management.

This may sound simple, but, it is very clear to me. I make my own reality.
Simple. I make the choice to be and feel what I want. No one else does that for
me. "Empowerment" only comes from my perspective of the situation. Your
co-workers don't feel empowered? Who is it that is supposed to "make" them feel
empowered? I think it's their responsibility and their is no magic solution to
feeling anything.
