Subject:Question about Letter of intention From:Christine Gonzales <christine -dot- Gonzales -at- medstat -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 20 Mar 2001 08:45:53 -0500
Hello,
I have been a lurker of quite a while, and I really appreciate the
information I learn from TECHWR-L. I began lurking at a previous job,
despite the fact that the company had a strict Internet and newsgroup
policy. I lurked quietly.
Now I am at a company that encourages Internet usage and learning (yeah!).
My question concerns writing a letter of intention for RFPs (not for my
place of employment). I wrote a grant last year (my first one) for an
organization that helps low-income families pursue higher education. Since
this was my first grant, I wanted the experience so, I did it for free. The
grant was successful and the full amount was awarded.
Now this same organization has asked me to help them pursue other grants. I
did not write the letter of intention for the last one. This organization
gives low income families a way for them to increase their education by
assisting with housing costs and teaches life improvement skills. I believe
it what they do and I want to be successful in writing the letter of
intention(s).
Oh wise experienced writers, what should I included and not include in a
letter of intention?
