<my opinion>Putting volunteer work on a resume is great if it's relevant, as seems to be in your case.
If it were me, I would create a section smack between the Experience section and the Education section called OTHER RELATED EXPERIENCE. The format for the listing would be as similar to that which I used in the Experience section.</my opinion>
