Grrr - the pit bull responds. :) All joking aside, I've often found it
helpful to have an extreme solution in mind and use it in a humorous and
lighthearted way to make a point. For example, "You know guys, if I hear
one more time that I'M late because YOU forgot to tell me something, I'm
going to email the Vice President of God and Everybody with a list of all
157 changes made after the design was, ahem, frozen." They usually laugh
and own up to their part of the problem. Then you present a workable
solution for the future that makes life easier on everybody - and it makes
your opponents into allies. (Although a few of them probably think twice
before saying the help is wrong - fearing I'll bite!)
