Hello Everybody,
I'm presently working within a
great startup as a contractor,
and my contract is up soon: yet
they really like my work in
_Security_ and I've been recommended
for _Engineering_ [OSS/BSS] (the company
is a hybrid ISP/Financial content facilitator
funded by 2 huge media companies).
I spoke to the recruiter today
about salary, and he told me
that I can expect to get 2/3
of my contracting rate (he
didn't say whether that included
the standard 10% bonus my perm
friends have gotten -- they've
even gotten an additional BONUS
since the firm began last Summer!).
My last appointment is Monday
with the Head of Engineering.
ANY TIPS FROM VETS
about negotiating a salary from contracting?
(I'm in NYC and there are _some_
other jobs around.)
