Hi.
I've been producing winhelp to document my company's software products for
several years. Some of the help is operations oriented. Some is
developer-to-developer C++ library and API reference material.
I'm considering moving to either html or pdf (or perhaps both, based on the
information need). Can anyone point me toward a comparison of the 2
formats? I'm looking at it from the point of view of features, benefits,
strengths/weaknesses, pitfalls.
I'm especially concerned about:
- the availability of search/find functions
- ease of maintenance
- ability to layer information
- navigation tools
- printability
I get the TechWr-L digest.
Thanks very much,
Susan Jelus
