Subject:naming methods in manuals From:"Rock, Megan" <Megan -dot- Rock -at- fanucrobotics -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 28 Mar 2001 08:16:50 -0500
Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about how to refer to our
new robot controller throughtout our manuals, which will be published out of
XML as both HTML and paper.
I decided to go along with what my supervisor and editor both wanted: we'll
refer to the full controller name the first time it appears in the manual
(as well as on the cover) and use the shorter name everyplace after that.
That's how we've done it in the past and our customers are used to that.
Thanks again,
Megan Rock
