My husband had the opposite luck with Dice -- he placed his resume up and
was bombarded by 100 email and 100 calls in a *week*.
After being fired (not laid off, not downsized) I posted my resume on monster.ca. After 3 weeks, I stopped counting at 12 recruiters (and one direct hiring manager) who called and/or emailed. I was interviewed for 5 positions and got 2 offers (I had some nice "severance" for this period, and no, my previous position has not been filled).
I started work Monday at a job I picked -- didn't have to do any actual job-hunting: just waited for the calls to come in. My resume was very specific about what my skills are.
No, I am not a star; I'm just a grinder. But I know FrameMaker (which my new company doesn't know about yet).
