Sigh....you may probably need one. I think that experience in the field is
MORE important than fancy-schmancy pedagogical letters after my name. I
used to teach evening courses through UC-Berkeley. I'd been techwriting for
about 14 years when I started teaching. Extension classes most likely won't
require an advanced degree; joining an English faculty most likely will.
