TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.

It seems to me that the skills we use in communicating
technical (any kind of specialized) information can be used
just as well in fields when the specialized information to
be communicated has nothing to do with high technology.
Does anybody on this list use your technical communication
skills in fields other than software, hardware, or
networking?
I teach Sunday School for nine and ten-year-olds. I plan and prepare the
lesson, lead my fellow teachers, and do the actual teaching. One of the
biggest ongoing efforts, however, is audience analysis--it is always a
challenge to choose activities that will interest and engage this particular
group of kids.
