TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I send e-mail. Miss Manners be hanged, the software industry moves to quickly for snail correspondence. The last time I was out interviewing, a
job offer got to my home before I did. :-) (Of course, with the market slowing down, I may never be in that situation again.)
I generally mention that I enjoyed talking with whomever I spoke to, hit a couple of highlights of the things we talked about, and stress my
availability for further discussion or to answer any remaining questions. Pretty generic, I suppose.
