I think if you'll reread the original post, it's because not only do they
not have technology sessions, presenters have to pay their own way,
including high-priced registration fees. Unlike other associations where
presenters may have to book their own travel, but at least they can attend
for free. I thought about submitting a proposal, until I saw that caveat.
It seems as though Andrew had the same idea.

There are tech writers who think the STC is the cat's @$$ and entirely
pertinent to their day-to-day job. I'm not one of them. However, neither
have I stepped up to the plate to do anything about it (no time). In that
vein, Andrew, why don't you put your $$ where your mouth is and sign up to
teach a technology session at next year's conf?
