Speakers wanted for Instructional Design progression in Chicago
Subject:Speakers wanted for Instructional Design progression in Chicago From:Yvonne DeGraw <ydegraw -at- home -dot- com> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Thu, 12 Apr 2001 11:51:41 -0700
Sorry Andrew et al, this isn't going to be about a talk in Chicago on
"Describing Threading Models to Embedded DSP Programmers" or "How to Work
with the Really Tiny Cantilevers They Use in Atomic Force Microscopes."
Both of which I could talk at length on, but seem like they'd have
audiences of 3 and 0 respectively.
I'm moderating a progression called "Topics in Instructional Design" at the
STC conference in Chicago. The session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15
from 4-5:30 pm. I'm looking for a few more presenters for this session.
Please send any topic proposals directly to me at ydegraw -at- home -dot- com -dot-
So far the confirmed progression topics are:
"Assessment in Instructional Design"
"Comparing the BTs--CBT vs. WBT"
"Is that your final answer?" (Games in Instructional Design)
"Redesigning a Web-Based Education System" (implemented with WebCT)
"Using CU-SeeMe for an Online Seminar"
"Using Minimalism in Instructional Design"
In a progression session, presenters give 10-15 minute presentations
plus time for questions to a table of about 10-12 attendees. Presenters
repeat the same presentation 5 times, and attendees select a new table for
each round. Each speaker may use a flip chart or handouts.
