TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.

I publish a newsletter and run a Web site for the Middle-Eastern dance
community in New England. I started up the Web site to develop my Web
skills, initially, as I wasn't learning those sorts of skills at the job I
had then. My newsletter has also been somewhat of a laboratory; I
initially composed it in Word, but it has grown to the point where I
needed to use a more sophisticated program. Hence I bought and learned
Pagemaker (and now I can probably answer all of Dick's Pagemaker interview
questions!).
And I used both the newsletter and Web site as my final project for my
master's degree in technical and professional writing! :-)
