As a pervious poster said, the computer, the software, the network, the comm
lines, and so on you use at work are owned by the company you work for, not
by you.
If you are worried about your email, or whatever, being read, then there is
a simple way to get around the problem: write your emails and access the
Internet as if everything you write will be tacked to the bulletin board
next to the frig for everyone to see, or put on the desk of the CEO or your
boss.
In fact, even if you think that no one is watching, it's still a good
practice to follow.
