For what it's worth, after I got my BA, I was lucky to slouch my way into a job a number of months down the road. Everybody had a BA. After I got my MA, I received eight offers in two weeks. There are probably a number of variables involved, but I can't help but feel that my MA played a large role in those offers....

A question for the other English majors among us, and for those who can
offer an employer's perspective: does an MA in English Lit do a tech
writer any good? (Not the coursework or the experience of it, mind you... I
mean the degree itself.)
