I agree with Bryan. Consider two bits of information:
1. Your boss is asking you to do resumes, I assume for other employees.
2. There is not a lot of work to do at the moment.
That adds up to company problems. Consider giving your boss alternatives=
to
the look-busy work but write your own resume as well.
Side comments: =
1. Bosses almost never go for learning-on-the-job that does not produce
product that they can then give to their own bosses. =
2. Small shops often ask for work that is outside the scope of normal
responsibilities. The last place I worked, the DBA kept track of develop=
er
time sheets. Anyone who can keep track of anything a developer does gets=
extra points. Oops, I didn't say that.
