>In the spirit of the David Letterman Show, What are the 10 ten comments
Tech
>Writers receive?
Well, I don't watch the David Letterman Show, but...
1. I haven't got time to review your document. Just get it right the first
time.
2. You'll find everything you need in the automatically-generated comments.
3. I haven't got time to review this document again. You shouldn't have made
so many changes.
4. Don't talk to the developers - you'll find everything you need in the
spec.
5. The developers don't have time to review your document until after the
final release date.
6. Why do you need an install copy of the software to write the installation
guidelines?
7. If you wrote better documentation, we wouldn't need to review it.
8. Since all the screen-dumps are completely useless, why not have another
one here?
9. You're the technical writer - *you* review it.
10. Why do you need to be able to run the software? You just document it,
you don't need to be able to see how it works!
