TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
What do you mean you need to see the design document in order to write
the training manual?
I don't have time to install the product on your machine, just document
what you think it should do?(!?)
We don't need a template for that (manual, training piece, presentation,
etc.) - No one is ever going to write another one like it.
And my personal favorite:
I don't have time for you to shadow me. Just ask me all your questions
now while I have a few spare minutes.
