Greetings Tracee,

One piece I often refer to is called Writing for Dollars, Writing to Please, by
Joe Kimble. It is a compilation--albeit a few years old now--of research
findings intended to demonstrate the value of plain language in terms of user
satisfaction, cost savings and so on. While it uses the term "plain language"
and largely refers to policy and legal writing, it might be useful to your
efforts.
