To be honest...I wasn't lying as much as it sounds. I'd never used FM
to create anything. However, during one of my gigs, I would sometimes
receive files from sub-vendors and sometimes, they were FM. I HAD
used FM, but only to open the files and save in a format that Word
(at the time, v6.0) could import. At the same time, being an expert
with two menu selections doesn't qualify someone as a user...maybe 6
menu clicks does (just kidding).
Therefore, while I'd never created (or seen, for that matter) master
pages, TOCs, character or para styles, I had looked at the interface,
played with some menu choices, and knew what I was going to be
getting into before I did it.
I would never had made that statement with something like Interleaf.
At the same time, I would never use that limited exposure to mention
it on my resume as it would reduce the credibility of the level of
expertise that I claim for the SWs that I DO list.
